Where people are important.
Pure Foods was incorporated in 1988 following an amalgamation of the former Cameron Farms and Inghams egg layer businesses, both having been in existence for approximately 15 years prior to the amalgamation.
Pure Foods Eggs has since expanded to become Tasmania’s largest egg producer, marketer and distributor. The company directly employs 40 Tasmanians with an annual wages bill totalling $2.2 million.
Our operations are spread across the state at five sites including Longford, Kings Meadows, Carrick, Interlaken and Hobart.
As a major supplier to significant customers such as Coles, Woolworths, IGA, and the Federal Group we know the importance of growing long-lasting relationships with everyone along our supply chain and also, ultimately, you the consumer. That’s why, in all our practices, we subscribe to Corporate Social Responsibility in the marketplace, workplace, environment and the community.
The International Egg Commission’s creed is a model that Australian egg farmers are proud to adopt: As with egg farmers from around the world, we care about: producing the highest quality, safest product; our environment; providing choice; the welfare of our hens; and feeding our growing population.
